TPLF war of aggression:

Statement of condemnation

The conflict in the north Ethiopia has been a sad manifestation of the power struggle between super powers at the expense of poor Ethiopians. All the countries and institutions involved in protracting the war must stop sponsoring the conflicting parties, especially Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF).

TPLF must be hold to account by African Union and international community for starting wars of aggression against the Federal Government of Ethiopia and Eritrea for the third time in two years.

It is a no brainer that TPLF leaders, time and time again, come out with a series of statements before starting their war of aggression to deflect responsibility. It should be noted that TPLF is acting with the guidance and support of institutions, and countries with unhinged imperialist mindset.

It is also well documented that TPLF has been staging false-flags by burying hundreds of thousands of its fallen soldiers in a mass grave in different parts of Tigray to fake genocide, and attacking Eritrean Defence Forces to internationalise the conflict.

Today, 1st of September 2022 at 04:20am in the morning, TPLF has started cross-border shelling onto Eritrea both from Adyabo and Shiraro towns. However, as usual TPLF is counterclaiming that Eritrea alongside Ethiopian Federal Army is shelling Shire and Adyabo.

We condemn this new round of unprovoked TPLF war of aggression against the Eritrean Defence Forces in the strongest possible terms and call on them to stop their aggression immediately.

We condemn those countries that seek to keep their sphere of influence, in the region, by abating and supporting such despicable and tragic acts of TPLF.

We call upon the Eritrean Defence Forces to show restraint and respond proportionately.

We also call upon both the Ethiopian Federal Government and TPLF to pursue the peace negotiation initiated by the quartet.
